WebClogging Taps are designed to produce our unique sound for clogging. They are not the same as tap shoes. (HOWEVER: In our youth program, we have our Tiny Tot dancers wear a white tap shoe we order from the same manufacturer as our favorite split sole. WebClogging is danced more flat-footed and emphasizes the musical downbeat. Tap emphasizes the upbeat. Tap dancers tend to dance with a loose, fluid upper body. Cloggers tend to keep a more stable upper body. When dancing in groups, Cloggers place much more emphasis on upper and lower body synchronization than tappers.
